My approach to care is rooted in continuity, prevention, and partnership. I’ve learned that the best outcomes come from patients who feel heard, who understand their own health, and who have a doctor they can rely on over time. I focus on clear communication, evidence-based medicine, and meeting each patient where they are — whether managing a chronic condition, navigating a new diagnosis, or simply trying to stay well.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, where I was part of the Campuswide Honors Program and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. I went on to receive my medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, then returned to Southern California to complete my family medicine residency at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center — the same program where Dr. Sotelo and Dr. Hu trained. I am board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

I was born and raised in Long Beach and attended Los Alamitos High School. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three teenage boys, and our cat. My hobbies include traveling, camping, sewing, knitting, and escape rooms.
